LA LAJA, MEXICO

THE COFFEE STORY

This Mexican decaf is a single estate coffee sourced from ‘La Laja’, a farm located close to the village of Huatusco in the state of Veracruz.

Currently owned by Hermilo Sampieri, La Laja has been in the Sampieri family for three generations, with each family member pouring their hearts into producing quality coffee beans.

The farm prides itself on its dedication to sustainability and has been awarded with both Rainforest Alliance and 4C certifications.

This coffee goes through the ‘Mountain Water Process’ a non-chemical, organic certified decaffeination method, which uses the glacial water from the highest mountain in Mexico, the Pico de Orizaba.
